“The voice of weeping shall no longer be heard” (Isaiah 65:19)

When we’re glorified in Heaven, we won’t weep, because there’ll be no reason to weep.

We’ll weep no more, because there’ll be no broken friendships, and no unfulfilled desires. Poverty, famine, fear, persecution, and slander don’t exist there. There’s no pain, and no possibility of death or sadness.

We’ll weep no more, because every need is met and every desire satisfied. What a blessing it will be to not desire anything that’s displeasing to God! Because we’ll be fully conformed to the image of Christ, we’ll want only to please Him.

We’ll weep no more, because all fear of change is past. We’ll be eternally secure. Sin is shut out, and holiness shut in. We’ll live in a city which will never be attacked, bask in a sun which never sets, drink from a river that never goes dry, and pluck fruit from trees that never wither. Eternity will never end, and our immortality and contentment is assured.

We’ll weep no more, because eye and ear, heart and hand, judgment and imagination, hope and desire, and all our faculties, will be completely satisfied. Imperfect as our present ideas of Heaven, we know Christ promised, “In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:1).

So now you have many reasons to rejoice, for God promised, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

“Therefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
