“All things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23)

Fear and doubt is normal for sinners, but not for saints. If you have fear and doubt, know that, fear and doubt are dispelled by “faith working through love” (Galatians 5:5). Unlike sinners, saints have hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience with the blood of Christ (Hebrews 10:22), so they don’t fear the wrath of God. “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” (Romans 8:1). “Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God …and rejoice in hope of the glory of God … Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Romans 5:1-5).

If a saint fears Judgment Day, it means he’s become blind, and “forgotten he was cleansed from his old sins”, so he needs to make sure he’s saved (2 Peter 1:9-10). The normal state of a saint is “righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”  (Romans 14:17), and the love of God is his motivation for good works.

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment … perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (1 John 4:17-18).

If you don’t know the love of God that casts out fear, I pray God gives you “the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling” (Ephesians 1:17-18).

The golden throne of assurance is waiting for you! “All things are possible to him who believes”.
