“You crown the year with Your goodness” (Psalms 65:11)
All year, every hour of every day, God richly blesses us; both when we sleep and when we’re awake. The sun may hide behind clouds, but God never ceases to shine upon us. Like a River of Life, His lovingkindness always flows, as constant and endless as His own nature. Like the atmosphere which surrounds the earth, He’s always ready to support the life of His saints.
But just as God can cause rain to overflow the banks of rivers, He can enlarge the River   of Life by showering His mercy and Grace in special seasons of renewal and revival. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Pray to the Lord of the harvest. “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” (Matthew 9:37-38). “Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!  And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together” (John 4:35-36).
“Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon (Isaiah 55:6-7).
