“He left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside” (Genesis 39:12)
There are times when saints must remove themselves immediately from a trap. The power of lust must be overcome by an immediate act of the will. Satan will use his people to orchestrate the exact circumstances to bring you down. Such was the case with Joseph. But when he sensed the danger, he didn’t rationalize his innocence...he got out of there quick! Today, Satan doesn’t need to place you in exactly the wrong place at the wrong time...he just gets you to turn on your smart phone, and click on the bait.
Flee youthful lusts. Satan wants you enslaved to his will (2 Timothy 2:26). “The love of money  ...  flee these things” (1 Timothy 6:10-11). “Flee from idolatry... do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? (1 Corinthians 10:14-22). Envy, covetousness, fantasy, addiction, discontentment, unbelief, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, flee from these things (John 2:16).
If you pursue sensual gratification apart from the marriage bed, be assured, you’re being prepared for slaughter (Proverbs 5:3-5). If you think online pursuit of pleasure doesn’t matter to God, you’re already hooked. “This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there” (James 3:16). “Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler” (Proverbs 6:5).
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:1-2).
