“We abide in Him” (1 John 4:13)

If Christ offered me a wonderful home in which He wants me to live forever, what would I say? If I said, “How much would it cost me?”, here’s what He already wrote in His Word: “The Kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it” (Matthew 13:44-46).

Then I might ask, “can my family and friends live there with me?”. Here’s what He already wrote in His Word: "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:26-27).

Then He might say to me, “do you want to continue in sin and go to hell when you die, or have love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in this life, and Heaven in the next?” (Galatians 5:22-23). Well, when You put it that way, maybe I should consider becoming a Christian!

“And He said to me ... I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death" (Revelation 21:6-8).
