“Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning” (Psalms 30:5)

Christian! If you’re going through a trial, think about tomorrow; dwell on the Day of The Lord, when Christ will return and set everything right. Be patient, for, “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him” (Revelation 1:7). Be patient! What you sowed, you’ll reap. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life” (Galatians 6:7-9). Be patient; for you’ve placed all your hope on Christ, who promised, “I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work” (Revelation 22:12).

In this world, “their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god” (Psalms 16:4), and, “those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy” (Jonah 2:8), but saints look forward to when “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4). Wait a little longer. Oh! how trivial our trials will seem when we look back on them! Today they seem immense; but then, they’ll be remembered as stepping stones to glory.

The trick is to transfer your heavenly thoughts of the future into the present. If only you could be like the Apostle Paul. “We do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
