“Now acquaint yourself with Him” (Job 22:21)

God is one being (unity of essence), and exists in three distinct persons (subsistence) - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Here are a few Scriptures that mention all three: 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 14:26, and Matthew 3:16-17. God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” (Genesis 1:26).

If you’re a saint, you not only have the privilege, but the duty to “draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). God promised, “You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). Endeavour to know the Father; bury your head in His bosom in deep repentance, and confess you’re not worthy to be called His son; receive the kiss of His love; let the ring which is the token of His eternal faithfulness be on your finger; sit at His table and let your heart rejoice in His grace.

Then press forward and seek to know more of the Son of God who is the brightness of His Father's glory, and yet, in unspeakable condescension of grace became man for your sake; know Him in the unique complexity of His nature: eternal God, and yet suffering, finite man; follow Him as He walks the waters in the power of deity, and sits at the well in the weariness of humanity. Don’t be satisfied until you know Jesus Christ as your Friend, your Brother, your Husband, your all.

The Holy Spirit lives within you, so it’s essential that you obtain a clear view of His nature and character, His attributes, and His works. It was the Spirit of the Lord, who moved upon chaos (Genesis 1:2), and brought forth order; who now lives inside you, creating the order of holiness. See Him as the Lord and giver of spiritual life, the Illuminator, the Instructor, the Comforter, and the Sanctifier. See Him in holy anointing and empowering, as He descended upon Jesus, and then afterwards came into saints (John 14:17) on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:4). Such an intelligent, scriptural, and practical belief in the Trinity in Unity is yours.
