“The only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14)

Believer, YOU can bear witness that Christ is the only begotten of the Father, as well as the first begotten from the dead. No matter what the world says, You can say, “He’s divine to me”. “Let God be true but every man a liar” (Romans 3:4). He’s done for me what only God can do. He’s subdued my stubborn will, given me a new heart, and filled me with the Holy Spirit. He turned my mourning into laughter, and my desolation into joy; He’s set me free from sin, and made my heart rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. 

 Let others think whatever they want … I KNOW He’s God. Oh! If the Father hadn’t drawn me to Him, I would never have been saved! (John 6:44). But by grace I was saved through faith, but not of myself, it was a gift of God, so there’s no reason for me boast. It was God who regenerated me in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). 

 He drew me when I struggled to escape from His grace; and when at last I came all trembling like a condemned criminal to His mercy-seat He said, “your sins which are many, are all forgiven you: be of good cheer”. I bear witness that He’s a good Master, Brother and Spouse to my soul; He couldn’t be a better Savior, Comforter and Advocate to my spirit. I want only Him. In life, He’s my life, and in death, He’ll be the death of death; in poverty, He’s my riches; in sickness, He makes my bed; in darkness He’s my star, and in brightness He’s my sun. Christ is to me all grace and no wrath, all truth and no falsehood: all truth and grace. He’s full, infinitely full. My soul, this night, bless with all your might, “the only Begotten”.
