“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!” (Psalms 139:17)
God knows everything. This is disturbing to sinners, but should be a comfort to saints. Christ knows everything you do in real time. Everything you see and hear, everything you think and feel, God knows.
“Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the Lord, And their works are in the dark” (Isaiah 29:15). “They say, ‘The Lord does not see’ ...He who formed the eye, shall He not see?” (Psalms 94:7-9).
Saints who depend on Christ moment-by-moment enjoy His constant attention. “You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book? ... This I know, because God is for me. In God (I will praise His Word), In the Lord (I will praise His Word), In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Psalms 56:8-11). Saving Faith is NOW. "The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the Word of faith which we preach)” (Romans 10:8).
The reason Christ told us our hairs were numbered was to assure us of His constant presence. “You will be hated by all for My name's sake ... do not fear them ... Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:22-31).
You should be concerned with what God thinks. “Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality” (Colossians 3:23-25).
If you’re saved, get off the fence. Obey Christ in all things. Find a church that serves Christ without reservation or compromise. ‘This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:3-5).
