“The Lord is King forever and ever” (Psalms 10:16)

Jesus commanded His disciples to preach the Gospel to all creation, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18). Christ isn’t an obscure leader who hopes to gain power; He’s already the King of kings who will win, with or without you. You just need to obey Him to be part of His victory! “God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

Many leaders gain power by popular will, and certainly saints love Christ, their ruler, but we vote for, or against Him, every day we either do His will, or disobey His will. We pray “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:9), but are we a doer, or just a hearer of the Word?

In the Red Sea of His own blood, our Redeemer drowned our sins: shall we grumble in the wilderness or enter the Promised Land? Are we going to return to Egypt or fight for the land of milk and honey? He’s delivered us from the iron yoke and curse of the law: are we going to destroy sin in our lives or return to the fleshpots? The choice is yours. You can either break the generational curses bequeathed to you by your forbears, or continue in addiction and dissipation.

“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15).
