“Brethren, pray for us” (1 Thessalonians 5:25)
Ministers of the Gospel need our prayers. For every second saints endure on Earth, they will spend over 10,000 years in Heaven. There’s no chart that can begin to illustrate the importance of this fact. On the other hand, for every second unrepentant sinners enjoy on Earth, they will spend over 10,000 years in Hell. This is the most deadly-serious issue of this, or any generation.
God has laid a heavy responsibility upon ministers. They are the appointed Watchmen, like Ezekiel, who was warned by God, “If you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul” (Ezekiel 3:17). The Apostle Paul heeded the warning. “I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:26-27). Ministers feel keenly the responsibility to give sinners every opportunity to repent and believe on Christ.
“‘Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!’” (Romans 10:13-15).
Saints, pray for them!
